The SolarSaga 500 X can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F), ensuring reliable performance in various weather conditions.

Which power stations can the SolarSaga 500 X charge?

The SolarSaga 500 X can be used to charge power stations such as the Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus, 3000 Pro, 2000 Plus, 2000 v2, 1000 Plus, and 1000 v2.

How should the SolarSaga 500 X be stored?

After use, fold the solar panels and store them in the provided storage bag. Ensure the panels are kept in a dry place, avoiding exposure to corrosive substances or physical damage during storage.

Can the SolarSaga 500 X be left outdoors permanently?

While the panels are designed for outdoor use, it is recommended to retract or store them during extreme weather conditions, such as strong winds or hail, to prevent damage.

How do I clean the SolarSaga 500 X panels?

Do not immerse the panels in water. Instead, clean them with a damp cloth. Avoid using corrosive substances or abrasive materials that might scratch the panels.

Which portable power stations can the Smart Transfer Switch connect to?

It can connect to the Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus, with support for up to 2 units simultaneously.

What are the power requirements for the Smart Transfer Switch?

It requires split-phase 240V input and supports 120V 60Hz and split-phase 240V 60Hz output. Three-phase power is not supported.

What appliances can the Smart Transfer Switch connect to?

The Smart Transfer Switch can connect to 120V and split-phase 240V circuits in a home's sub-panel. Professional electricians must handle the installation. Each circuit can support appliances up to 240V/30A and 7200W. A maximum of 12 circuits for 120V or 6 circuits for 240V can be connected simultaneously. Both 120V and 240V circuits can be connected at the same time.

What are the installation requirements for the Smart Transfer Switch?

The Smart Transfer Switch is not waterproof and must be installed indoors or in a location protected from rain.

Does the Smart Transfer Switch have grid-tie functionality?

The Smart Transfer Switch cannot input energy from portable power station or solar into the grid.

Can the Smart Transfer Switch connect to rooftop solar panels?

The Smart Transfer Switch cannot directly connect to rooftop solar panels. However, solar panels can be connected to the 5000 Plus, which can then connect to the Smart Transfer Switch to provide solar power for the home.

What if my home is already connected to a solar system?

If your home's electricity distribution panel is connected to rooftop solar through an inverter with a dedicated circuit breaker (AC-coupled), it is compatible with the Smart Transfer Switch. Note that in case of a grid outage, AC-coupled systems will also stop functioning, as they depend on grid signals. When the grid is operational, the solar generator can power the Smart Transfer Switch.

Why does it take longer to switch to portable power station during a power outage?

Either the UPS function is not enabled in the app, or the portable power station is charging. Without UPS enabled, the switch-over time is approximately 5 seconds when grid power fails.

How can I achieve a 20ms UPS switch?

Enable the UPS function in the Jackery App. When the grid power fails, the switch to a portable power station will occur within 20ms. If the portable power station is charging when a power outage occurs, the switch-over time will be approximately 1 second.

Set the "Charging-discharging plan" in the Jackery App's working modes. Configure the charging and discharging times based on peak and off-peak electricity rates.

How can I use rooftop solar to power my home and save on electricity coSmart Transfer Switch?

First, connect the rooftop solar panels to the Explorer 5000 Plus. Then, set the working modes in the Jackery App to "Self-powered" mode. In this mode, a portable power station charges exclusively with solar power and automatically powers the home when fully charged. If the storage level falls below the backup threshold, it will switch to grid power for home supply.

How can I extend backup time for critical loads?

In the Jackery App, move non-critical load circuits to the "Nice to have circuits" group under "Backup priority." When the energy level falls below the set threshold, non-critical loads will automatically shut off, reserving more energy for critical loads.

Why do some circuits not have power after the mains power is restored?

After the mains power is restored, the circuits that were disconnected based on backup power priority during the outage will not be automatically turned on to reduce the risk of electric shock. Customers need to manually turn on the disconnected circuits.
