The Battery Tender® DC Power Connector Kit is the marine industry's standard for secure, high-current DC connections — a plug-and-receptacle system engineered for the demands of trolling motors, onboard chargers, electric reels, downriggers, and any DC accessory that requires a reliable, vibration-resistant, waterproof connection on the water.

The complete kit includes both the L-shape plug (224-0062-BK) and the onboard receptacle (224-0061-BK) — everything needed to install a permanent, professional-grade DC connection point on any vessel.

Every component of the DC Power Connector system is engineered for the marine environment that destroys ordinary connectors. Silver-plated solid copper alloy contacts resist corrosion and deliver consistent low-resistance connections across thousands of connection cycles. A UV-protected, glass-reinforced thermoplastic housing withstands sun exposure, salt air, and impact without cracking or degrading. All hardware is stainless steel throughout — no zinc or plated steel that will corrode in saltwater conditions.

Screw-Lock Design — Vibration-Proof, Water-Resistant

The DC Power Connector's unique screw-and-lock mechanism is what sets it apart from push-fit marine connectors. The plug locks into the receptacle with a positive mechanical connection that resists vibration from engine operation, hull impact, and rough water — the conditions that loosen ordinary connectors at the worst possible moment. The lock also creates a water-resistant seal that prevents moisture infiltration at the connection point.

80 Amps Continuous. 12V Through 48V.

Rated for up to 80 Amps continuous service (UL) with 6 AWG wiring, the DC Power Connector handles the full current demands of large trolling motors, high-output onboard chargers, and multi-system DC distribution — at any voltage from 12V through 48V. A single connector system that works across 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V boat electrical systems without modification.

How the System Works

Mount the receptacle permanently on the vessel — at the battery bank, the trolling motor mounting point, or the onboard charger location. Connect the plug to the trolling motor, charger output, or accessory cable. Connect and lock in seconds with a positive click. Disconnect cleanly when needed without tools. The permanent receptacle becomes a standardized connection point on the vessel — every compatible device connects the same way, every time, with the same secure locked connection.
