Charger and installation note

Use the included 36V LiFePO4 charger or another compatible lithium charging system programmed correctly.

Do not charge this battery with an old lead-acid charger unless that charger can be properly configured for a 36V LiFePO4 profile. The battery’s recommended bulk / absorption voltage is 42.6V – 43.2V, and equalization should be disabled.

This model is not self-heated. It includes low-temperature charge protection, but it should be charged within the specified 0°C to 55°C / 32°F to 131°F charging temperature range. The included charger charges the battery from empty in about 7 hours through the cart’s charge port, using the supplied 10 ft cord and a standard 120V outlet.

Does this kit include the correct charger for my golf cart?

Yes. This complete kit includes a 36V 15A onboard lithium charger with a 10 ft heavy-duty extension cord, and it charges the battery from empty in about 7 hours. You do not need to purchase a separate charger, and you should stop using your old lead-acid charger because it will not properly charge a lithium battery.

How hard is it to install this lithium conversion kit?

Installation should be done by an authorized mechanic or technician, following the steps in the user manual: remove the old lead-acid batteries, fit the cart-specific mounting hardware, install the charger, replace the cart’s factory charging receptacle with the supplied charge port plug (required for safety), mount the gauge and remote on/off switch on the dash, route the wiring harness, secure the battery, connect the charger leads and the cart’s main cables observing polarity, and install the 12V converter with its key-on wire. Then switch the battery on, confirm the gauge shows the state of charge, and charge it before first use if the charge is low. A main fuse or DC-rated breaker close to the battery positive terminal is required and is not part of the kit.

What kind of range can I expect from the 100Ah battery?

Range varies with terrain, tire size, cart weight, passengers, controller settings, motor upgrades, and driving style. Epoch estimates roughly 30 to 40 miles per charge for many standard 36V golf carts. For more range, two matched batteries can be connected in parallel (200Ah) with balanced cabling, proper fusing, and compatible charging equipment.

How long does it take to charge, and how do I plug in?

About 7 hours from empty with the included 36V 15A onboard lithium charger. The charger is powered through the cart’s charge port: the kit’s cart-specific charge port plug replaces the factory lead-acid receptacle (replacing it is required for safety), and the included 10 ft heavy-duty extension cord connects the charge port to a standard 120V outlet. If the charger stays connected, it restarts charging when the state of charge drops below about 95%.

Can I charge the battery in freezing weather?

No. This battery is not self-heated, and the BMS blocks charging outside 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F), so let a cold battery warm above freezing before charging. It can discharge from -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F).

Do I need to add water or perform maintenance on this battery?

No watering or acid service. The battery is maintenance-free compared with lead-acid: you do not need to check acid levels, add water, or clean acid residue. Routine inspections keep it operating safely: check the case, terminals, cables, fuses, and mounting hardware before each use, terminal tightness and cable condition monthly, the state of charge at least every 3 months in storage, and torque, wiring, protection devices, and charger settings once a year.

Can I connect two 36V 100Ah batteries together for more range?

Yes, in parallel only. This model supports up to two batteries in parallel (200Ah) for longer runtime. Do not wire these batteries in series to increase voltage beyond the 36V system class. Use matched BB38100A-Kit batteries of similar age, condition, and firmware at the same state of charge, with balanced cabling, proper fusing, and compatible charging equipment.

Will this battery work in EZGO, Club Car, and Yamaha golf carts?

This kit is offered in EZGO TXT, Club Car DS, and Other configurations; Yamaha and other compatible 36V carts use the Other configuration. Fitment is not universal: confirm that the battery bay fits the 14.6 × 13.4 × 9.9 in case, and check controller compatibility, cable length, charger connection, gauge location, and mounting method for your exact model year before ordering or installing.
