Product Highlights
12V 314Ah Eco Series LiFePO4 (4.02kWh): A 12.8V nominal, 314Ah deep-cycle battery that stores 4.02kWh (4,019Wh, nominal) in a BCI Group 31 case, for RV solar, off-grid, marine house power and 12V battery banks. It is not a drop-in replacement for every lead-acid installation: check tray fit, terminal clearance, cable size, overcurrent protection and charger profile first.
Size and Weight: 13.75 × 7.63 × 10 in (349 × 194 × 254 mm), 15.5 in (394 mm) long at the rope handles and 10.5 in (267 mm) high with terminal bolts; 57 lb (25.85kg). Epoch sells a matching tray for the 12300A-H, 12334A-H and 12314-ECO.
250A Smart BMS: 250A maximum continuous discharge for properly designed 3,000W inverter-class systems (inverter DC input within 250A, about 3,200W), and 750A for up to 5 seconds for surge loads such as microwaves, induction cooktops and compressors. Deep-cycle only: not cranking-rated, so not for engine starting.
Charging: 250A maximum continuous charge current from all sources combined, up to 157A recommended, and 14.2V-14.4V bulk/absorption. Use a 12V LiFePO4 charge profile, such as the Epoch 12V 15A Lithium Battery Charger; a smaller charger simply takes longer.
Low-Temperature Charge Protection: No internal heating. The BMS blocks charging below 0°C (32°F) to protect the cells, and the battery can still discharge down to -20°C (-4°F). Charge only between 0°C and 55°C (32°F to 131°F).
Smart BMS (20+ Safety Features): Protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit, and high and low temperature, with a high-temperature reconnect at 50°C (122°F). It does not replace a correctly sized fuse or DC-rated breaker near the positive terminal.
No Bluetooth: Monitor it with an external shunt-based battery monitor, such as the Victron SmartShunt 500A/50mV sold by Epoch; voltage alone is not a precise state-of-charge reading on LiFePO4.
IP54 Rated: Dust-protected and splash-resistant for everyday mobile, RV, marine and outdoor use. Not waterproof or submersible: do not submerge or pressure-wash it, or install it where standing water can collect.
Expandable: Up to 4 matched 12314-ECO batteries in series (24V, 36V or 48V system classes) and up to 16 in parallel (5,024Ah, 64.31kWh at 12V); the largest bank is 4S16P (64 batteries: 51.2V, 5,024Ah, 257.23kWh).
4,500+ Cycle Life & Low Maintenance: No watering, acid service or routine lead-acid maintenance; routine inspections and terminal checks (8-12 Nm) keep it safe.
6-Year Limited Warranty: 3 years of free replacement, then 40% off MSRP on a replacement battery through Year 6. Register within 90 days or keep your proof of purchase to confirm your coverage start date.

Power Heavy Loads with a 250A Smart BMS
Built for 3000W inverter-class systems, RV appliances, solar storage, and off-grid power.
This high-capacity 12V deep cycle battery includes a robust 250A continuous BMS, allowing one battery to support demanding 12V loads when the inverter, cabling, fusing, and low-voltage settings are properly sized. At 12.8V × 250A, the battery can supply roughly 3,200W before inverter efficiency losses, making it a strong fit for many 3000W inverter systems.
The 750A peak discharge rating for 5 seconds helps handle short surge loads from equipment such as microwaves, induction cooktops, compressors, and other off-grid appliances. This model is a deep-cycle battery and should not be used for engine starting unless Epoch confirms compatibility.
Massive Scalability: Series and Parallel Expansion
Build a 12V off-grid battery bank or scale to 24V, 36V, or 48V systems.
The Epoch 12V 314Ah Eco Series supports up to four batteries in series for higher-voltage system designs and up to sixteen batteries in parallel for massive 12V capacity expansion. A full 16-battery parallel bank provides up to 5,024Ah and 64.31kWh of stored energy; the largest series-parallel bank, 4S16P (64 batteries), is 51.2V, 5,024Ah, and 257.23kWh.
For any large off-grid battery bank, use matched batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge. Balanced wiring, proper busbars, fusing, disconnects, inverter settings, and LiFePO4-compatible charging equipment are required.

Specifications:
Epoch Batteries 12V 314Ah (4.02kWh) Eco Series LiFePO4 Battery
The Eco Series is designed to deliver maximum capacity and power at the most competitive price point. It does not include Bluetooth monitoring or internal heating pads, and it uses an IP54 weather-resistant enclosure. It carries a 6-year limited warranty: 3 years of free replacement, then 40% off MSRP on a replacement battery through Year 6. Essential and Pro models add premium features such as Bluetooth, active heating or higher IP ratings, depending on the model. If you want raw, reliable power and massive capacity on a budget, the Eco Series is the value-focused choice.
The 250A continuous BMS allows the battery to continuously output roughly 3,200 watts at 12.8V before inverter efficiency losses. That makes it a strong match for many 3000W inverter systems when the cables, fusing, inverter settings, and installation are sized correctly. The 750A rating covers surges of up to 5 seconds only, such as a microwave, induction cooktop, or compressor starting. Size the system by the inverter's DC input current, which must stay within 250A; usable AC output is lower because of conversion losses.
Yes. The Epoch 12V 314Ah Eco Series supports up to 4 batteries in series for 24V, 36V, or 48V systems, and up to 16 batteries in parallel for expanded 12V capacity; the largest bank is 4S16P (64 batteries: 51.2V, 5,024Ah, 257.23kWh). Use batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge, fully charge each one before connecting it, and use matched cabling, proper fusing, and charging equipment rated for the full bank voltage.
Yes. The Eco Series does not include active internal heating pads, but it does include low-temperature charge protection. Below 0°C (32°F), the BMS blocks incoming charge current to help protect the LiFePO4 cells, and the battery can still discharge down to -20°C / -4°F. Charge only between 0°C and 55°C (32°F and 131°F): move a cold battery somewhere warmer and let it stabilize before charging, and never bypass the protection.
The 12V 314Ah Eco Series has an IP54-rated weather-resistant enclosure. It is protected against dust and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for RV compartments, battery boxes, off-grid cabins, and protected marine spaces. It is not waterproof or submersible: do not submerge or pressure-wash it, or install it where standing water can collect around the battery.
The Epoch 12V 314Ah battery weighs 57 lb. Comparable lead-acid or AGM banks with similar practical usable energy can weigh far more and take up significantly more space, especially because lead-acid batteries are commonly limited to about 50% usable depth of discharge. The exact weight savings depends on the lead-acid bank being replaced.
No. This Eco Series model is built for simplified, high-capacity value. It does not include Bluetooth monitoring or internal self-heating. Use an external shunt-based battery monitor, such as the Victron SmartShunt 500A/50mV sold by Epoch, if your system needs app-based visibility; voltage alone is not a precise state-of-charge reading on LiFePO4.
Use a LiFePO4-compatible charger, such as the Epoch 12V 15A Lithium Battery Charger, or a converter, inverter charger, solar charge controller, or DC-to-DC charger programmed for LiFePO4. Recommended settings include 14.2V–14.4V bulk/absorption, ending when the current falls to C/20 (about 15.7A) or after 15 minutes, float disabled preferred or 13.3V–13.6V, 13.2V re-bulk, equalization disabled, and temperature compensation disabled. Charge at up to 157A (recommended) and never more than 250A from all sources combined; a smaller charger is suitable, it simply takes longer.

Epoch Batteries 12V 314Ah (4.02kWh) Eco Series LiFePO4 Battery User Manual
Very heavy for a 4D - suggests a lot of plates - more plates the better. Batteries were packaged in an original Renogy box which had foam damage protection. Batteries arrived promptly and are working well.
I have bought 10 sets of these. I used 2 sets to support 2-590watt bifacial and 1 460 watt panel. These are setup vertically. I have them running in serial for a total of of 4 sets. Two of them run to my Anker Solix F3800 plus which allow me to get almost the max of 3200watts. I have 2 F3800 plus with a total of 10 bp3800 batteries for a total of 46,080 wh of storage. I mounted them on 15' aluminum rails. I connected the rails to boards and mounted them with 5" caster wheels which allow me to easily move them to the direction of the sun. This allows me on most days to outproduce my 27 360watt solar panels on my roof. The other 2 sets I each have two 460 watts panels. 1 set I have running to 2 chest freezers and a fridge in the basement. I have 4,000 wh of battery storage. The other set mostly runs my PC gaming area. I have 6,000 wh battery storage.
I have a total of 3.5mwh of battery storage with my electric company.
