The BMS never starts charging while any battery temperature reading is below 0°C (32°F). Instead, a connected charger supplying at least 0.5A powers internal heating pads, using incoming charge current only and never the battery's stored energy, and charging resumes automatically once the battery reaches 5°C (41°F). The heating system is tested to −20°C (−4°F) and rated for external ambient temperatures down to −40°C (−40°F), making it a strong cold weather RV battery for shoulder-season camping and marine storage conditions.

The IP54-rated enclosure helps protect the battery from dust and water splashes, making it suitable for many everyday outdoor, mobile, RV, and marine house-power environments. It is weather-resistant for normal use, but it should not be submerged or installed where standing water can collect around the battery.

Bluetooth security PIN

App access protection for authorized monitoring.

This battery includes a Bluetooth security PIN for connecting the Epoch Li-Ion app. The PIN is printed on the battery's lid, and you can change it in the app under Advanced Settings.

Verify tray dimensions, cable clearance, and charger settings before installation.

Always confirm battery tray dimensions, Group 31 fitment, handle clearance, terminal-bolt height, cable routing, charger compatibility, and system requirements before installation. Use a lithium-compatible charger, inverter charger, converter, solar charge controller, or DC-to-DC charger programmed within Epoch’s recommended charging parameters, and tighten the M8 terminal bolts to 8–12 N·m. For series or parallel battery banks, use matched batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge.

For starting applications, use a cranking-rated or dual-purpose battery that matches your engine manufacturer’s requirements.

Can I wire these 300Ah batteries in series to create a 24V or 48V system?

Yes. The 12V 300Ah Essentials battery supports a maximum configuration of 4 batteries in series and 4 batteries in parallel, or 4S4P. You can wire two matched batteries in series for a 24V system, four matched batteries in series for a 48V system, or up to four matched batteries in parallel for a 1,200Ah 12V bank. Follow Epoch’s installation guidance and use matched batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge.

Yes.
