Does the semi-solid state battery contain 100% solid electrolytes?

No. Currently, there are no 100% solid-state batteries available on the market. Our semi-solid battery cells reduce liquid electrolyte by approximately 70% compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries. This helps to provide a safer, more stable, and higher-performing power source for your full-time off-grid living.

What is the maximum output of this lithium battery?

Renogy Pro S1 12V 120Ah Battery can discharge at 150A (1.25C), considering 120Ah capacity. This means one single battery is able to output 1920W continuously and 2112W peak power for 60s. It can work with a 1800W inverter to power esential appliances through your tough adventures.

Do I need to use a BT module to monitor the status on my phone with Renogy smart app?

No. The battery has built-in Bluetooth, so you can track status in real time through the Renogy app. It also includes CAN ports for simple communication between devices.

How to recharge my semi-solid state batteries?

You can charge them with solar, a DC-DC charger, or an AC-DC charger. We recommend using a controller or charger designed for LiFePO4 batteries

What is the life expectancy of this battery?

About 6000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, depending on temperature and storage conditions.

Please explain the multi-stage discharge overcurrent protection (165A/1min → 240A/30s → 360A/200ms). Why not use a single hard cutoff?

This graded response balances protection with usability: ● 165A/1min: Allows for sustained overloads (e.g., inverter surge) without nuisance trips. ● 240A/30s: Permits brief motor starts (e.g., RV AC compressors). ● 360A/200ms: Hard cutoff for dead shorts (1000A/110µs).

Is this battery waterproof?

Yes, the battery is IP67-rated, which means it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter / 39.37 inch deep for up to 30 minutes.
