Does it charge if it's inside?

Yes, if the only thing between it and the sun is transparent, but it won’t charge as well compared to being outside. You can compare the difference by looking at the input section of your power station’s LCD screen.

Well thought out design and easy to set up and use.

Panel is on my deck as I type, attached to a RIVER 2 Pro power station. Impressed by the thought given to the design of the panels and the cover that allow practical use in the field (gromets, clips, attachment points in the cover). The newer designed connections make clipping in and clipping out much easier than the design from just a few years ago (I know this because a friend has the earlier panels and on a camping trip last week we used his and my new panels to charge his RIVER 2 Pro). He has some issues detaching the power cables of his older panels while the newer design are easily compressed with one's fingers to allow the connects to separate.
